My Hair Styling Routine – 3 Essential Products

Your hairstyle is an important part of how well you present yourself to the world. I know you would not want to be judged on the basis of it but the truth is that no matter how much you run from this fact but you will still be judged and more often in places that matter like a job interview or a date. In this article, I am talking about my everyday hair styling routine and I start with the 3 products that are essential to it.

Sea Salt Spray

Sea salt spray is a great product to add texture and volume to your hair. It helps you style your hair into that beachy wavy look that is perfect for tropical vacations. But not just that, it works as a great pre-styler for voluminous hairstyles like the quiff as well.

Hair Wax

Wax is suitable for hairstyles that have a little more volume. They also have a little shine as they have wax ingredients like petrolatum or lanolin. But there are a lot of matte versions also coming up. They have a medium hold and volumising properties. Your hair looks and feels natural and you can run your hands easily through it.

Hair Dryer

I consider this to be the most important thing in my hair styling routine. My hair game will fall face first if I don’t use this item every single day. It works like magic on hair. To achieve the perfect hairstyle that remains in its place, you definitely need a blow dryer unless you are going for the ultimate messy look.

My Hair Styling Guide

Step 1

I towel dry my hair evenly after coming out of the shower. The trick is to have consistemt dampness all across your hair

Step 2

I apply Sea Salt Spray over my hair. Around 2-3 sprays and then spread it evenly using my hands.

Step 3

Then, I blow dry my hair at high speed and heat . I use my hands or sometimes a comb while blow drying to style my hair. Stop as soon as hair is dry. At this point, my hair already shows a good amount of volume and texture.

Step 4

To keep this style in place, I apply hair wax (amount depends on the length of hair) using my hands. I make sure that wayward strands are settled.

Step 5 (Optional)

I, sometimes, use my hair dryer again but set at cool temperature mode to lock my hair in place and infuse volume in case my hair has weighed down due to the product.

I would recommend all of you to have a hair styling routine in place if you don’t have one. Give me your opinions on the same in the comments section below.
